"Looking ahead from a currency perspective, the rises in U.S. short-term interest rates are going to stop, will not be a lot more, and may be spaced-out over time. This compares with an end to quantitative easing that is coming in Japan, higher interest rates by the European Central Bank (ECB) and later this year possibly also by the Bank of England (BOE). Given some slowing in the U.S. economy against a solid Japanese economy and firming Eurozone, as well as several significant negative long-run fundamentals surrounding the dollar, the Federal Reserve shift in stance was definitely dollar-negative...."
