"If I leave one message of which I am reasonably sure, that message is that the world needs to do is to be very careful in addressing the short-term problems that we do it in a way that does not prejudice, or reduce, or make worse the long-run growth prospects. It seems to me that the danger in the current situation with the panic, with the reaction of the politicians that they must do something right now, is that actions may be taken to get out of this short-term mess -and it is a mess - that could affect things in ways that would mean that in the longer-term economic growth cannot be as healthy as it was..."
